The White Orchids are relative newcomers to the go-gang scene in Seattle. The gang comprises less than 50 members, though no exact count is referenced. Although vaguely known in the Seattle area, the White Orchids are more known throughout Japan.
The moniker hails from the white colored trench coats that the members of the gang wear as their “gang colors”. The trench coats are a badge of honor to many poor teens and young people who show their worth to join the ranks through physical prowess, honor, discipline, and cunning. The street gang work independently in various cities and are scattered throughout mainland Japan.
Few Yakuza factions utilize the White Orchids aside from petty thievery and enforcement in Japan. The development of the Kenran-gumi in Seattle, they have chosen to use this ideal as a proving ground for inducting new members and bringing in new talent and muscle.
